Pricing and Fees

Before you pay, you should know exactly what you are paying for. This page shows what goes into the price of each bar and what other costs may apply.

The selling price of a bar

The price shown on each bar is made up of:

  1. Metal value: the live rate per gram of gold or silver × the bar's weight. You can see the live rate on the live prices page.
  2. Minting fee: a percentage of the metal value that covers production, assaying, engraving the unique code and security packaging. The percentage depends on the bar's weight. As a rule, the heavier the bar, the smaller the minting fee per gram.

The final amount is rounded down to the nearest 10,000 rials (IRR), so rounding never works against you.

Why prices are not locked

Gold and silver prices move during the day. Instead of adding a margin to cover that risk, we calculate the price at the moment you confirm payment. If the amount has changed between seeing it and confirming, the payment does not go through and we show you the new amount. You are never charged more than the amount you confirmed.

Our buying price (buy-back)

When you sell a bar to Talavest, the price is calculated from the same live metal rate and the bar's weight, minus the buy-back deduction set for that product. The gap between our selling price and our buying price is shown on the invoice as the "spot difference". This gap is the real cost of a round trip in bullion, so take it into account if you plan to hold for only a short time.

Delivery costs

  • Branch collection: no delivery charge.
  • Postal delivery: a delivery fee based on the destination province, plus a handling and packing fee. Both are shown on the checkout page before you pay.

Topping up and withdrawing from your wallet

  • Bank payment gateway: instant, up to the per-transaction limit set by the bank.
  • Paya/Satna transfer with payment ID (Iranian interbank transfers): no amount limit. Your wallet is usually credited within 5 minutes of the money reaching our account.
  • Card-to-card transfer with uploaded receipt: usually 15–20 minutes after the receipt is reviewed.

Any fee your bank charges for a Paya, Satna or card-to-card transfer follows that bank's tariff. Any charge Talavest makes is shown on the payment page before you confirm.

Invoice

Every purchase comes with an official invoice in the buyer's name, showing the company details, weight, fineness, the code of each bar, metal value, minting fee and delivery cost. You can download and print it from "My orders".

Example

Say the live rate for one gram of gold is X rials and the minting fee for a 5 g bar is Y percent. The bar's price is 5 × X plus Y percent of that amount, rounded down to the nearest 10,000 rials. Each product page shows the exact figure at that moment.

Fees FAQ

What is the minting fee?

A percentage of the metal value that covers production, assaying, engraving the unique code and the bar's security packaging. It depends on the bar's weight.

Is there a fee for topping up my wallet?

Bank transfer fees follow your bank's tariff. Any charge Talavest makes is shown before you confirm.

How big is the gap between buying and selling prices?

It depends on the product and is shown on the invoice as the "spot difference". Take it into account before buying for the short term.
