Choosing a Bar

Before you choose, decide three things: the metal, the weight and how you want to receive it.

Gold or silver?

Gold holds a lot of value in a small size and is the more common choice for long-term savings. Silver costs much less per gram and its price usually moves more. People choose it to start with a smaller budget or to diversify their holdings.

Choosing a weight

Small bars (such as half a gram and one gram) are affordable and make good gifts, but the minting fee takes a larger share of each gram. Heavier bars carry a lower fee per gram. If you have a sizeable amount to invest, several mid-weight bars can keep fees down and still let you sell part of your holding later.

Questions About Our Products

What bar weights are available?

Gold bars are made from half a gram to one kilogram, and silver bars from 10 grams to one kilogram. Live stock for each weight is shown on its product card.

Why do small bars cost more per gram?

The cost of production, code engraving and security packaging is spread over less weight in a small bar, so the minting fee takes a bigger share of each gram.

How up to date are the prices?

Prices update with the live market rate, and the final amount is calculated at the moment you confirm payment. If it changes, you are asked to confirm again.
